Berlin, 26 June 2018 – LOTTO Berlin and Hertha BSC will continue to work together in future. The successful cooperation with the state lottery company will be continued in the next two seasons. By extending the partnership, which has been in place since 2011, LOTTO Berlin has secured a comprehensive service package with stadium advertising initiatives, digital campaigns and joint activities at Hertha BSC home games. The contract extension was brokered by Lagardère Sports.

In the future, LOTTO Berlin would also like, within legal guidelines, to inform the members and fans of Hertha BSC about the legal games offered by LOTTO Berlin and give them as many happy moments as possible. So, from the new season onwards, the partnership will also be more strongly defined by joint marketing activities.

Ingo Schiller, Chief Financial Officer at Hertha BSC, explains: “This extension is proof of our good cooperation and we look forward to continuing the well-harmonized partnership we have enjoyed over the years with LOTTO Berlin over the coming two seasons.”

Dr. Marion Bleß and Hansjörg Höltkemeier (CEO of LOTTO Berlin) see the already long-standing partnership between LOTTO Berlin and Hertha BSC as a growing relationship that goes far beyond a mere sponsorship. The common goal for decades has been to make Berlin constantly a bit more liveable and lovable for all Berliners.

Dr. Marion Bleß comments: “Hertha BSC is undoubtedly a flagship of Berlin football and Berlin. The continuous evolution of the club, its sporting evolution over recent years, the enormous popularity of the club in the city as well as its performance and socially oriented involvement in the youth field are outstanding features of the evolution of Hertha BSC. ”

Hansjörg Höltkemeier adds: “LOTTO Berlin would like to contribute to securing and further expanding the quality of talent promotion in Germany’s largest football city at the traditional location of the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. We would like to prevent a talent drain from Berlin. Berlin talents belong to Berlin. ”

Thorben Jeß, Executive Director of Team Hertha BSC at Lagardère Sports, adds: “Hertha BSC and LOTTO Berlin are both deeply rooted in Berlin, but are known and loved as a brand well beyond the borders of the capital. That is why this partnership works and fits so well and we are all the more pleased that we were able to broker the extension of this successful collaboration. ”
