Paris, 11 March 2020 – Lagardère Sports, a company of Lagardère Sports and Entertainment, is proud to announce that Auto Sécurité and Sécuritest, members of the SGS Group, are to become official partners of the LNH (Ligue Nationale de Handball – National Handball League) for the coming 2020/2021 season.

A presence in sport:
AUTO SÉCURITÉ and SÉCURITEST are the two leading car testing networks in France and are part of the SGS Group, the world leader in automotive inspection, testing, analysis and certification. The two brands share values with the sport such as closeness, commitment and fellowship. They have invested for several years in the sports world and more specifically in handball. Indeed, both brands supported and participated in the development of this sport by signing up as official partners of the 2018/2019 edition of the “Final 4”, the final phase of the NHL Coupe de la Ligue (League Cup).

Commitment to a global partnership:
The two brands have decided to commit to a global partnership with the NHL for the 2020/2021 season. By becoming official partners of the NHL, Auto Sécurité and Sécuritest will benefit from visibility at all NHL competitions and events, namely, the Lidl Starligue, the Proligue, the League Cup including its Final 4, the Champions Trophy and the NHL Trophies.

National focus:
To give this partnership a national focus, the two brands of the SGS Group will be able to rely on a strong territorial network, with nearly 2,000 technical car testing centres spread throughout France and the French overseas departments. Thanks to this association, each of the centres will be able to communicate locally on all the League’s sporting events.

Sébastien Danvel, President of Auto Sécurité France and Business Manager at SGS Regulated Business: “Last year there were some intense moments at the Handball League Cup. The liveliness and dynamism of the clubs made us want to support this sport throughout France and to promote the development of its brand as well as that of the Auto Sécurité and Sécuritest centres.”

Olivier Girault, LNH President: “The SGS Group’s confidence in us is a source of great pride. It is also an important responsibility that now falls to us: to offer our partner an efficient development tool for its Auto Sécurité and Sécuritest networks. Throughout France, the League and its 28 professional clubs will be committed to optimising this partnership, which we are convinced will be a long-term one.”

Laurent Moretti, General Director of Lagardère Sports: “We are delighted to have helped Auto Sécurité and Securitest build a global partnership with the National Handball League. This new adventure should allow both brands and handball to further develop their reputation and image, creating strong emotions at the same time. We wish this partnership every success.”

The AUTO SECURITÉ network was the first on the car testing market and today has 922 centres throughout France and French overseas departments. In 2019, 1,919 inspectors carried out more than 3,581,000 compulsory tests.
